The AITP Atlanta Chapter Board of Directors are thrilled to host the 5th Annual CIO Roundtable Dinner Event! To celebrate this special occasion the Atlanta Chapter is hosting the CIO event at a new upscale location – Crown Plaza Ravinia. The evening will consist of networking from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM followed by introductions and a dinner for AITP Members and invited guests only. We will be commentating the panel in a format of 3 questions then a round of 6 ‘lightning questions’ which can be answered by a show of hands. We believe this format will permit us to get a lot of tactical information out to our member attendees and provide insight into technology adoption trends.

The following CIOs have confirmed their participation for the 5th Annual CIO Event.

- Danny Bensley - Hardin Construction

- Edwin Marcial – InterContinental Exchange,

- Karen Painter - Turner

- Curtis Rawlings - Dekalb County

- Bill Smith - Chamberlin Edmonds

- Alan Stukalsky – Randstad

- Dudley White – Equifax (TAS)

Don’t miss this year’s best AITP Atlanta Chapter event – sign up today to become a member! www.aitp.org/join.

Unable to join AITP now, attend the event as a guest of our board for only $50.

The Next Revolution in Productivity:
SOA - SaaS - Cloud

by Dennis Stevens

Dennis StevensThe issues and opportunities surrounding SOA, SaaS, and cloud computing effectively amplify the conversational divide between business and IT, in part because of the newness of the architecture and the technology. Find guidance on linking the technical opportunities presented by these new models to the needs of the organization.

For over 25 years, Dennis has been passionate about helping organizations deliver technology that makes a difference for their business. Dennis was a significant contributor to Microsoft's Business Architecture strategic offering and the application to Services Oriented Architecture.

Dennis' work in this area was published in  "The Next Revolution in Productivity," in the June 2008 Harvard Business Review and the Microsoft technet article Cloud Computing: Where to Start When you Have Already Started (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff709382.aspx).
